We are a group of all freshmen from Central Hardin High School. Our coach is Jason Neagle from EC3. We are part of the PLTW program. We are working on a VEX robot for the 2017-2018 challenge In The Zone. We want to do VEX because we have enjoyed the challenge and exhilaration in the past. We also all want to do something related to VEX when we grow up.
Will Reynolds
I am a freshman at Central Hardin High School in Cecilia, Kentucky. I have been involved in actives for my schools like Academic Team, Beta Club, and VEX Robotics. I have three years of experience in VEX at West Hardin Middle School. There my team had good success and I hope to do the same at Central Hardin. I have chosen to do VEX because I want to pursue engineering as a career, so I feel that VEX will give me a taste of what engineering is like.
Riley Grace
Hello my name is Jackson R. Boone, I am a freshman at Central Hardin High School. I have been interested in being a technician because they get to do lots of fun things like fixing devices and designing devices. My first thought about being a technician was that it will be difficult; but once I got the opportunity to be in VEX, it will be better. Being in VEX gives me the opportunity to see my mistakes and what I can do better. Practice also helps me gain more knowledge about what we're supposed to do. My team can also help me with my mistakes, and I can help them with their mistakes, too. I think that being here will give me the opportunities of being more successful and becoming a great technician and engineer. I think that it's a great way to start off becoming an engineer. My brother gave me this opportunity, and he wanted me to do this like how he did it. I took his advice, and it has been going very well. I like doing it, and I think this year will go very well.
Landon Henry
I am main writer for our team notebook, but I can also help with building and programming. This is my fifth year of VEX. Some of my strengths are my neat handwriting, good sketches, and organization. Some of my weakness are that I am a slow writer and don't have the best grammar.
Sawer Cannon
I am the driver of team 6135X. I am in the Central Hardin Band and have been in VEX Robotics for two years. My first year we won one competition and also qualified for the World Championship. While at Worlds, we were only a few matches away from finals. My second year of VEX Robotics we won the Kentucky State Competition and qualified for Worlds again. There we did good but not as good as the year before. My strengths are driving, improvising, quick thinking, and planning. My weaknesses are partner driving, communicating, giving directions, and listening to partners during competitions.
Landen Davis
I have been in the VEX and PLTW program for 3 years. My strong suits are engineering and driving. This year I will be the lead engineer and co-driver.
6135X 2014-2015
Team 6135X was a beginning freshman robotics team in 2014 with the Skyrise season. The team was disbanded later that season in 2015. The number would later be resurrected in 2017 for the In The Zone season by freshmen, none of whom had previously been affiliated with the team.
