Central Hardin Robotics
Engineering Design
Central Hardin Vex Robotics Teams are required to follow the engineering design process in addition to managing an engineering notebook to document, in detail, the year's challenge and all steps taken to provide an effective and efficient robotic solution.
Robotic Excellence
Vex Robotics Teams wearing the 6135 Number and Bruin colors are representatives of the tradition of excellence pursued by Central Hardin and the world class robotics program they maintain.
Autonomous Design
6135 Teams are distinguished in the art of programming their robotic solutions with commands to complete the challenge without driver control in order to enhance their understanding of programming technique and their skill with respect to the rest of the world in the Vex Robotics Competition.
History
The Central Hardin High School Vex Robotics Team was established in the spring of 2013 by Project Lead the Way teacher Mr. Jason Neagle. Central began with 2 teams at the 2013 Kentucky State Technology Student Association conference in Louisville, Kentucky. The two teams finished 3rd and 5th at the Kentucky State TSA Conference. The qualified teams then competed at the National TSA Conference in Orlando, Florida in June of 2013 and finished 9th and 16th. From 2 teams that year, we then grew to 5 teams that second year, and since then have grown to 6 robotics teams. We are currently competing in the Vex Robotic Competition (VRC), as well as competing in the Technology Student Association Sanctioned Vex Robotics events.
